Xinglong’s 5,688 m² Custom Manufacturing Workshop Enters Commissioning Stage, Expanding Flexible Pressure Vessel Capacity

To better serve air-compressor packages, industrial projects, and overseas customers requiring diversified small custom pressure vessels, Yantai Xinglong Pressure Vessel Co., Ltd. is advancing the commissioning of a new 5,688 m² custom manufacturing workshop. Designed around modern, automated, and flexible production, the workshop will also be integrated with Xinglong’s ERP+MES+IoT digital system to strengthen order changeover, process control, quality traceability, and project delivery.

Expanding Dedicated Capacity for Multi-Product Custom Manufacturing

As industrial applications become more specialized, customer demand increasingly extends beyond standard air receiver tanks to oil separator vessels, adsorption cylinders, A/B adsorption towers, gas-liquid separators, steam headers, integrated air receivers, and other small custom pressure vessels. Compared with standardized high-volume products, these orders often involve project-specific requirements for volume, pressure, material, nozzle orientation, installation space, and system integration. This makes production flexibility and engineering coordination especially important.

To address these needs, Xinglong planned a dedicated 5,688 m² custom manufacturing workshop. According to the company’s August 2026 project plan, the workshop has entered the commissioning stage, with a planned annual production scale valued at approximately RMB 80–100 million.

Flexible Production for More Than 200 Specifications

The new workshop is being developed as a modern, automated flexible production area capable of switching efficiently among different product categories. Production for oil separator vessels, adsorption cylinders, A/B towers, and other small custom vessels can be adjusted according to order-specific dimensions, materials, connections, and process requirements. The manufacturing system is designed to support more than 200 standard and customized specifications.

This flexible model is intended to reduce changeover losses between different product types and improve scheduling efficiency for small-batch, multi-specification projects. For overseas distributors, compressed-air system integrators, EPC contractors, and industrial end users, producing multiple vessel types within one coordinated manufacturing system can also simplify supplier communication and project management.

Digital Connection Between Orders and the Shop Floor

The custom workshop will be connected to Xinglong’s integrated ERP+MES+IoT management system, linking order information with process, equipment, inspection, and production-progress data. Through a “one item, one code” traceability approach, an individual product can be associated with its workshop, manufacturing steps, and responsible personnel, creating clearer production records for custom orders.

For non-standard pressure vessels, drawings, process routes, and inspection requirements can vary significantly from project to project. Digital management helps production teams identify order differences more accurately, reduce information-transfer errors, and provide a stronger data foundation for quality traceability, delivery tracking, and customer documentation.

Extending from Air Receiver Manufacturing to Broader Pressure Vessel Solutions

Founded in 2010, Xinglong operates a 50-mu production base of approximately 33,000 m², with separate carbon-steel and stainless-steel workshops. The company holds China Class A2 pressure-vessel design and manufacturing qualifications and a GC2 industrial pipeline installation permit. It is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, and also maintains ASME-related capabilities while supporting export projects requiring PED, EAC, DOSH, MOM, and other international compliance frameworks.

The new custom workshop represents another step in strengthening project-based manufacturing alongside Xinglong’s established mass-production capabilities for air receiver tanks. The company will continue to support customers with vessel selection, engineering, drawings, manufacturing, inspection, certification coordination, delivery tracking, and installation and operating support.
